Bibshort or cycling shorts without straps?
It’s a question many cyclists ask themselves: which cycling shorts should I choose? We’re happy to explain the difference.
- With straps (bibshort): Bibshorts keep the shorts and chamois firmly in place from the first pedal stroke to the final kilometre. Because there’s no elastic waistband digging into your stomach, the shorts don’t slide down. This prevents irritation and chafing on longer rides.
- Without straps: Cycling shorts without straps are quicker to put on and take off. They’re ideal for shorter rides or recreational use when you want the protection of a chamois but prefer maximum simplicity.
Our recommendation: Do you regularly spend more than an hour in the saddle? Then cycling shorts with straps are the better choice. You’ll never need to adjust them on the go, so you can focus fully on the ride. Most cyclists who have tried bibshorts never want to go back. The difference in comfort is immediately noticeable.

Essential – Comfortable for up to 4 hours

Quality fabrics for maximum stretch
While cycling, your clothing handles thousands of movements. With every pedal stroke, the fabric needs to move smoothly with you without stretching out or restricting you.
